The "T-Zone" was a prominent marketing campaign used by Camel cigarettes in the 1940s and 1950s. The "T" stood for Taste and Throat, referring to the area covering a smoker's mouth and throat. The ads featured a block-letter "T" traced over a smoker's face, claiming that individual T-Zones were the only way to prove Camel's superior flavor and throat-friendly "mildness". (AI result in Google)I remember hearing these commercials listening to a recording of Abbott & Costello's "Who's on First". --Mark |
