B service into 57 began shortly after midnight on Sunday June 30, 1968 marking the end of TT service. I was a BMT Tw/M at the time and there was a trainmaster who was a friend of mine on duty at the 50/6 tower. Although the tower is normally on automatic, the trainmaster placed the machine on manual so that I could line the first B into 57 St. As soon as I lined it, up, I boarded the train and rode it into 57 St. |
