They had to replace all of them anyway because of LEDs, so why shouldn't they have replaced them with pictograms?The pictograms take up less space, and minimize confusion: Since "Don't Walk" still contains "Walk", a broken or obscured light can be confusing. Whereas the hand looks nothing like the guy/gal/non-binary individual with the legs and arms akimbo. |
