Opening LIRR & MNCRR station stops inside NYC & where NYCT provides rapid transit service is only a stop gap for what is truly needed, more rapid transit line expansion & service.Adding new stations to commuter railroad lines within the NYCT rapid transit serving area only kicks the can down the road and avoids the inescapable truth, NYC needs to add additional new rapid transit lines, not just branch extensions to existing corridors. |
