Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Sun Mar 22 07:35:09 2026 Tuscarora Almanac for March 22 2020 – from The Book of Mountain Rescues Mount Washington, New Hampshire Mount Washington Cog Railway A hiker on Mount Washington slipped and fell several feet and was severely injured. Her location was such that rescuers could only reach her on foot and could not immediately move her. The Mount Washington Railway crew dispatched a rescue train to her location. Using ropes and tackle they were able to hoist her onto the train and take her to an ambulance at the base station.
