Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Fri Mar 13 08:43:05 2026 Tuscarora Almanac for March 13 1918 – from The Book of First Runs 67 Foot Long Steel subway cars are assigned to the BMT No. 10 Myrtle Avenue-Chambers Street Line. The No. 10 had been using wooden Gate Cars since it began operating in 1914. 1998 – from The Book of Last Runs The Long Island Railroad closes seven stations today. Five are on the Montauk Branch in Queens; Penny Bridge, Haberman, Fresh Pond, Glendale and Richmond Hill. Also closed are Mill Neck on the Oyster Bay Branch and Holtsville on the Mainline.
