Part 3 Chrystie Street Replacement Route Sign This video shows a typical post-Chrystie scroll. With these scrolls the route colors were introduced into the car signs. Note that the route bullets had not yet been designed or implemented: Post-Chrystie scroll Sharp eyes will notice that the lettering is not in Helvetica, but instead is in Akzidenz-Grotesk, which became the standard in 1967 and lasted for several years. (Note especially the capital J, Q, and R.) |
