Didn't realize until 1938 the Broad Street Line only went as far south as Lombard-South Street. This would in part explain why express service ended at Walnut-Locust and they didn't stay four tracks to at least Lombard-South if not later further south on Broad.Service was extended from Snyder Avenue to what is now NRG Stadium I believe in 1973, two years after the sports complex opened there. |
