The original build had all four tracks continue south from Canal St to Chambers St. But, with planned routes for Jamaica, Myrtle-Chambers, Broadway-Brooklyn, and LIRR, the two center tracks at Canal St were closed off. Broadway-Brooklyn trains would short-turn T Canal St. |
