Also, I remember when they took off that single 11th car in the summertime since the TA could boast an all air conditioned fleet with the 10 paired cars. Those 10 cars were packed in the rush hr and not all those paired R36WFs had good air conditioning. Apparently it wasnt possible or practical to install A/C in those single cars. This practice went on for several years. One time I went out to Flushing Meadow park & walking the boardwalk over the Corona yard, all those single R33s would be sitting in the sun taking the summer off. |
