I don't see why it must keep track that way. What's wrong with "last 7 days?" It's hard to believe that in 2025 the software can keep track one way but not the other. It's an added task to work out or find out when your period started.I'm an irregular rider. I have spurts of 3 or 4 rides per day, 1 ride another day, a couple of days of no rides, etc. I rarely hit the cap but I always still thought "no rider will pay more than $35 in a week" as the fare change information page reads. That's really a lie it turns out. London just charges you at the end of every day, but I think that's more because there are zones and distance-fares involved. New York should be even simpler than that. Each tap should just charge you the lesser of ($3) or ($35 minus what you paid in the last 7 days). I'm not a programmer but it doesn't sound like a huge leap. |
