So rather than merely negotiate the spread of OPTO along with all other contract provisions, TWU allies tried an end run. Hochul said no, and life goes on. As to retaining Hochul, were I still in NYC rather than Oakland CA, I would vote to keep her. Reason one, she might actually get IBX goiing. Reason two, tge last time I voted for a quasi-Republican was John V Lindsay who was kicked out of the party a few years later. |
