Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Sun Nov 2 06:45:21 2025 Tuscarora Almanac for November 2 1938 – from the Book of First Runs The first of the BMT Q-Types, 1600 ABC operated today in test service from Coney Island via the Sea Beach Line to Queensboro Plaza and then to Main Street on the Flushing Line and Ditmars Boulevard on the Astoria Line. Regular service will begin on January 3, 1939 on both the Astoria and Flushing Shuttles. 1966 – from The Book of Last Runs The Jersey Central Railroad discontinues passenger service on the Seashore Branch between Matawan and Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
