Well, the Amcans are half a century old now. And the converted Budd Metroliner MU cars that are now cab cars are heading towards their sixth decade in service too. The oldest Shoreliners are 42 while the newest are almost 30.Still waiting for the new Amtrak passenger cars (Siemens "Airo"); whatever ones are in service I heard that the seats are uncomfortable, but who knows. |
