With the end of streetcar operation on the New Haven Division, the Shoreline Trolley Museum was on its own, so to speak. When service on the Branford-Stony Creek branch ended in March of 1947, the Connecticut Company left it tied into the rest of its system, making it easy for the first museum cars to arrive on the property. They did so under their own power.
