That's Marxist claptrap and nothing else. Such enterprises operated in the public interest for well over 1˝ centuries before the government abused its power to take over, and subsequently degrade, all passenger rail here. You actually trust the government to operate in the public interest?!? when they're demonstrably more corrupt than "stockholder-driven enterprise(s)" particularly the more power government accumulates? Don't you ever look into history? Without "government meddling" we would still have tobacco marketed to children and denial of detrimental health effects and leaded gasoline and paint You sure are brainwashed. And you cannot stay on topic, falling into several red herrings that are absolutely not comparable to passenger rail and were not resolved by government meddling in fact. I'm sorry you chose not to be an honest broker. BTW, given the lack of common sense among a lot of the US population these days, perhaps the replacements for all of the above are more toxic? and why isn't that ever examined? Back to rivet countiong (sic) That seems to be all you're qualified to do. |
