Posted by gbs on Tue Jun 24 22:49:22 2025 Phase 1 of the 61-Woodside reconstruction is complete. The express track between QP and Woodside is back in use, although for local service, and the Manhattan-bound local track between QP and Woodside is out of service until next year. All Manhattan-bound trains will bypass 69 St and 52 St, and platform extensions have been installed at the three Queens Blvd stations, so the trains will stop at those stations on the express track. Has the express track been fitted with transponders at those stations so the ATO will stop the trains at the appropriate locations? Or will manual operation be used along this stretch?
