"when was the last time the government listened to "public outcry"?"When resuming Woodside as an express stop on the #7. THe locals plus LIRR commuters screamed like hell when the boneheads at the MTA tried to make 61-Woodside a local only stop. This resulted in jammed locals west of Woodside between 52-Lincoln Ave & Rawson St. Often those pax had to let two or three trains pass before they could find one where they could squeeze into. The brass at the MTA (aka politicians) listened and Woodside got its express stop status back. |
