There was a mention that the repair work done on the 63rd street line was somehow the cause for the wheel defects showing up on the R-160 cars - after such a major work project like that would it be standard procedure to run the rail grinding equipment through the replaced tracks followed by the Sperry track inspection car to make sure nothing bad was missed ? |
