In all three cases it was just a matter of reconfiguring the turnstiles and altering the fare-control areas. The connecting passageways were already there. There is still a passageway between 7th Ave and 8th Ave above the L tracks that is not accessible to passengers. Had they wanted to, they could've extended the free transfer from 6th Ave all the way to 8th Ave. |
