I worked in the schedule office at that time and SOP for the NYCTS was to have a “summer pick” which called for slightly extended headways during the summer due to anticipated light riding for workers and no students riding when schools were closed. The exception was the Flushing line. The light riding situation there was addressed by running the same frequency of service as in the winter but removing the non A/C R-33 singles from all the consists. |
