But back in the day, the NY Central was in competition for Chicago business with the PRR with its Broadway Limited. That said, The NYCRR Mgt would do what it had to do to keep its passengers coming back, by any means necessary. Thinking out of the box by sending the train up the Harlem was just another example of when customer service was important. |
