I remember when they upgraded the Crosstown to fluorescent bulbs, a huge improvement in the lighting. The old incandescent globes were really dim, could barely read a newspaper. But with the fluorescents you could see how dirty the line's stations were. Aside from that, glad they also fixed the water leaks dripping into the station platform, hearing that on an otherwise quiet station in the dim original IND lighting was really creepy. |
