What they wanted to do was to make Atlantic Ave into a shuttle-- that was the purpose of the new southernmost platform in Jamaica. Another way they backed off their original plan was to send more trains directly to Atlantic Terminal. Those trains probably would be moved from Grand Central rather than Penn Station, though. |
