The problem with the announcements bing made is that the suits in the TA want an announcement to be made as soon as the train stops instead of having the C/R wait a minute or two by which time the train will probably be moving. The undesired effect of having the announcements made for relatively normal momentary stoppages amounts to a “boy who cried wolf” situation in that if a time arose when there was a announcement made regarding a genuine dangerous situation, the passengers will merely tune it out thinking it’s just another “red signal" message. |
