Good to know they won't let it just rot away.Speaking of BERA, I hope one day they can restore 4280. I have a fondness for Chicago's 4000-Series L cars; I remember them well on the Evanston Express. The later ones, known as the Plushies, had trolley poles and as such were ready to run on museum trackage. I heard that 4280 was partially disassembled for its voyage to Shoreline and was never put back together. It looked pretty forlorn the last time I saw it in 2002. |
