NYCTA started issuing uniforms for C/Rs and bus operators in 1966 but did not do the same thing for the M/M, leaving their dress up to the individual. Sometime in the 1980s although I’m not exactly sure the NYCTA started issuing pinstriped overalls and matching jumpers (jackets) to the M/M. A few years later. again i’m not exactly sure of the year but it was after the M/M title was changed to train operator (T/O) the T/O uniforms were changed to dark blue trousers identical to the C/Rs’ and white shirts with thin black pinstripes. |
