The motorman in the old uniform looks a whole like the man identified as motorman Ralph Rungo in the December 1956 issue of Transit magazine (lower left). According to rest of the article, he had more than 40 years on the job in 1956 so maybe the Good-By is for Mr. Rungo with 50 years of service.
