Either that or the date is wrong and the photo is from a later time when the R-44s were being used on the JFK (Train to the Plane) Express.The date is correct as stamped on the 35mm slide. When the R-44s were used on the JFK Exp, the fiberglass bonnets were painted silver with blue strip with no black paint around the front windows. The r-44s in the image has the black paint and some graffiti. Bill Newkirk |
