It wouldn’t be a good idea to send it to any museum property unless a mate could be found for it. If the car equipment crew at Shore Line could do it, an H2C drawhead could be salvaged from NYCT surplus and installed on the #2 end of the car so it can be coupled to the R-17. A hybrid unit like that is operable since when theR-26s first came on the property, I often saw a single one in a train of R-17s on Pelham. |
