That would be a Willy B train since trains coming from the Southern Div were composed of steel cars while wooden elevated gate cars from the Eastern Div were still allowed in the subway.

Yes, but what's going on in this photo ? I see a white flag of the head car hinting some kind of "first" run of some kind. I also notice a rope wrapped around one of the poles on the from eluding that this car has trolley poles.

I thinking this was the first train over the Williamsburg Bridge with a ceremony at Chambers St. In a publication, I saw a photo of the first train over the Willy B taken on the pedestrian walkway. I don't recall seeing trolley poles on the roof.
