Of course he wouldn't rent a car if his destination was Manhattan. But you didn't say that.Also, suppose he drove his private car to the airport, and then his flight was canceled. What now? Take your car home, and then make you way into DC for a train? Or drive to the MD suburban station? Or just say, screw it, I'll drive? The trade-offs between plane, train, and car depend on any number of factors. Between NYC and either the DC area or the Boston area, I've done all three, depending on the particulars. |
