The reason initially stated for requiring masks was to slow the spread. Now that hospitals aren't overwhelmed, it just feels like more nanny state BS.I don't see it going away as long as we keep electing people that support nanny state ideology. In California, New York, and other places masks will be periodically mandated. More vaccines will be mandated. I don't see politicians abdicating what they see as their responsibility to keep us safe unless the courts take that authority away. |
