I knew that the R-10 was most likely gone but space for the newer trains is necessary. The semaphore would be a nice item for a museum. Doubt if it is still there, but one never knows. Do you have any more photos of semaphore signals in the system ? East 180th street yard just outside of the car shops had some of them - now all are gone. I saw a picture taken on the Jerome Ave. line between Moshulu Parkway and Bedford Park Blvd. showing one. Somewhere in an obscure location there might still be one - even operational ! |
