Since the only credit or debit cards that will active the turnstiles are CONTACTLESS, they do not have to be in your hand in the first place. I keep my contactless card inside a pouch on my belt, and I just wave it near the reader when I make a purchase, and I plan to do the same when OMNY is activated for me. And of course there are many other ways someone can avoid having to expose their card to theft.For people using their phone, it's probably in their hand already, since I've observed that smartphone devotees are pretty much using it 24/7. |
