I find it unusual that the Montreal cars don't have air conditioning/year round climate control system. While summers are short in Montreal, those cars are hot in August. Plus in the winter a climate control system would have heat coming out of the ceiling rather than just the floor which would distribute the heat more evenly throughout the car.
