Think of the old US pavilion Louis Armstrong tennis stadium and the NYC pavilion along the GCP which was a holdover from the '39 WF.If the $$$ and fire in the belly determination lined up, they could build over the Corona Yds. With the LIRR & #7 train nearby, it would be an ideal spot. As far as pilings not being driven down to bedrock hindering construction, think of the eastern tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. That is not down to bedrock & has been there awhile |
