Why make up stuff?You know Corona Yard was never on the map to be decked over. Especially with land a plenty around it. In Manhattan,Air rights is a tricky real estate move that's ridiculous in nature,but because of how the system is made up..it's "valuable" to developers. One Vanderbilt was built by Bloomberg using AIR rights. Funny how That worked out...they moved that building from ON TOP OF GRAND CENTRAL Terminal, redesigned it..now there's Another super tall being built right next to it,1646 ft tall.. Why? Because New York wants a stupid tall building. Picking can have a closed off Train station, that could serve as a terminal for C trains...or rush hour A..or The Rockaway Shuttle. Linden Plaza station,tucked away in the corner ADA compliant... Lots of people would use that station, especially coming from Queens. If the parking facility is expanded, a true park and ride could be worked out. Also..a station could be built at the New Lots Yard at Linden Blvd IRT...one stop extension. |
