I have always thought that 179th St was a strange choice for an express stop and intermediate terminal, especially back in 1931. It was only 2 stops east of Parsons Blvd. Not to mention the 8 bi-level tracks, somewhat similar to the layout south of Church Ave (F & G). This route was to have continues east on Hillside Ave to Little Neck Pkwy, I think. |
