I wish I could be there. I remember the first time I rode in one. It was a N Broadway express downtown from 57th St. It seemed to fly. And when R1-9s started showing up on the EE in 1967 after the Standards & Triplexs were gone and re-introducing prewar equipment to the Broadway BMT, the R32s when side by side seemed like the train of the future wheras the R1-9s seemed like ancient relics |
