On our Beacon- GCT trains, the vestibules were so crowded it would be "asshole to bellybutton" tight as Conductor Jimmy Kingston used to say. Meanwhile ,every other middle seat on three seaters would be loaded with stuff. I know that a number of railroad people and regular commuters who had monthly passes would ride the electrics up to Harmon. They were a lot less crowded. At Harmon a fair number of the holidays travelers got off the POK train so there was so room on the trains. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
