As far as I can remember, the R-29s and 33s (except for the R-33 singles) were overhauled exactly the same way as the 26s and 28s except that while the 266 and 28s received NYAB Newtran brake valves, the 29s and 33s received WABCO brake valves. Also If I can recall the breakdown, the R-29s were GOHed by M & K while the 33s were done at 207 St Yd. They all had the center row of interior lights removed and the outer rows replaced completely and the lights were also rewired. |
