That is certainly different than the 1968 plan, which seemed to call for transferring the outer or "local" tracks to the subway, and is obviously not doable today. Just how such an el would be supported, I'm not sure. MN and its riders might not like putting the line under the shadow of an el. And the street decking at Fordham Plaza would have to be heavily reinforced if an el was to be constructed over it. |
