They didn't have lights down the center because they weren't needed. There was enough light. With paper ads the amount of light was noticeably reduced and they became dingy looking, because they were never meant to have paper ads.With the paper ads, they need a row of lights down the center, but that would have.been more expensive than having to print separate translucent ads. |
