Posted by ntrainride on Sun Nov 28 12:20:12 2021, in response to Re: Moving the (R) to Nassau Street permanently (addition), posted by Bill from Maspeth on Sun Nov 28 11:07:46 2021. if all that transferring is done voluntarily, fine and dandy.when i lived near the kings highway (at that time) d train station and had a job on rewe street in east williamsburg i used to get sick of taking the d to the f to the l to graham avenue and walk to vandervoort avenue to rewe street. so i would do it brooklyn style: d to prospect park to franklin shuttle to dean street, walk to the b48 on classon avenue and take it to lorimer and grand street to either the b54 or the b59. all the connections were timely and easy. so i'm all for using those options...at my discretion. just don't screw up the outer boro commuter patterns for a projected "greater systemic good" if there are other approaches to the problem. |
