True, but this is about a much bigger picture:We all know about the long-running problems of the (R) as it is now. This essentially splits it up with the (W) becoming a full-time line, replacing the (R) as the Broadway local in Manhattan. One compromise could be on weekends (except late nights when the (N) would be a 4th Avenue local running via the tunnel as it is now) ALL (W) trains terminate at 9th Avenue on the (D) and give (R) riders a same platform transfer anywhere between 36th and Court. This is about making the (R) a more efficient line in Brooklyn for the most part, and why outside of yard runs during the week this (R) as I would do it would be via Nassau to Canal Street, where it would terminate. |
