It took a while, but I finally realized the JJ didn't run 24/7 back in the day. About the only time it didn't operate was during midday hours on weekdays. The QJ covered the Broadway-Brooklyn and Jamaica portions by itself. That 1967 TA map only stated, "Other times" when it ran between 168th St. and Broad St. It could have said, "Evenings, nights and weekends," to make it more specific. |
