At one time in the 1960's, as part of the Chrystie project, there were plans to connect the LIRR to the Brighton line under St Felix St, then continue across the Manhattan Bridge south tracks to a duckunder connection to the former Nassau loop tracks under Canal St and continue south to a terminal at the foot of Broad St and the East River where a relocated NY Stock exchange would be built.
