I'm still trying to figure out why they built a Fulton St station for the "G" in the first place!


I think with Brooklyn Tech and the Academy of Music close by, and in 1933 several major movie houses right there on Fulton Street, as well as the LIRR Terminal a couple of blocks away, a Fulton/Lafayette station for the then-GG would have been seen as an amenity for "uptown" Brooklyn residents traveling to these destinations. Otherwise, it would have been a bit of a walk from Hoyt-Schemerhorn or a PITA transfer to the Fulton local.
