Comfy ride? Have you been on an R46 lately? They run like crap. They may have been the "Cadillac" of subway cars but they are a 45 year old beat up Cadillac held together with duct tape.And whenever I ride the Q train I always am checking the signs. A good 50% are either wrong or not working. And the R68s don't have 96th/2nd on them. Why put cars on the one line they don't have signs for? The maintenance is clearly not being done on these old cars. And no, the average rider would not prefer it. People like sterile, polished, clean cars, not the ones with 40 years of crud. |
